Jarlsberg pudding with a tomato coulis

If you don't have any Jarlsberg, you can use : OKA L'Artisan or OKA

Preheat the oven to 200C (400F). In a bowl, beat the eggs. Add the flour and mix well. Add the milk, onions, Jarlsberg, herbs and spices, and mix well once more. Grease a muffin pan. In each of the eight cups, place one asparagus head, cut in half, and one piece of bell pepper. Pour in a part of the cake mixture. Garnish with another asparagus head and another piece of bell pepper. Cook in the oven for 20 minutes. Let cool (only until warm) on the rack.

  • 200g (7 oz) of grated Jarlsberg
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup (180ml) flour
  • 1 cup (250ml) milk
  • 1/2 cup (125ml) onion, finely chopped
  • 3/4 tsp (3.75ml) salt
  • 1/4 tsp (1.5ml) pepper
  • 1/2 tsp (2.5ml) paprika
  • 1/4 tsp (1.5ml) savory
  • 1/2 tsp (2.5ml) oregano
  • 16 asparagus heads, cut in half
  • 4 tbsp (60ml) red bell pepper, diced
