If you don't have any Jarlsberg, you can use : OKA L'Artisan or OKA
Brown the onions and celery in the butter. Add the meat and cook thoroughly. Add the remaining ingredients (except the spices and noodles) and let simmer for 15 minutes. Sprinkle on the spices. Cook the lasagna noodles. For the sauce, melt the butter and add the flour and milk. Stir well and let simmer for eight minutes. Add the cheese to the sauce and build your lasagna in an oven dish by alternating the sauce, pasta and meat layers. Cover with the remaining cheesy sauce and cook in the oven at 110°C (350°F) for 40 minutes.
- Lasagna ingredients:
- 250g (9 oz) of grated Jarlsberg
- 2 onions
- 2 celery sticks, finey chopped
- 2 tbsp (30ml) butter
- 14 oz (400g) ground beef
- Salt, pepper and oregano, to taste
- 11 oz (300g) canned ground tomatoes
- 3 to 4 tbsp (45 to 60ml) tomato paste
- 12 lasagna noodles
- Sauce ingredients:
- 2 tbsp (30ml) butter
- 3 tbsp) (45ml flour
- 13 oz (354ml) milk
